SpoolFab is pipe tracking software supplied on licence for use in the fabrication of a pipeline at a spoolbase. Typically it is used on site with all the information being entered directly into the system by the inspectors themselves. We have been using the fully networked version of SpoolFab at the Evanton site since 2006. It has been custom built to meet our requirements, the system has been designed to be very simple and quick to use, whilst also being mindful of the kind of environment that we work in. The Spoolfab system is also networked, so our inspectors can use any of the screens available within our fabrication area allowing data to be entered and validated quickly.
